2/15/23 - First In-Person Advocacy Conference since 2019
SACOT members from across Texas came together to advocate for HB 1569, an extension of HB 244. HB 1569 establishes a grant program that provides computer science certification to public school educators.
3/28/23 - SACOT Stays In Touch
Four executive SACOT members meet with representatives at the capitol to advocate and add support for HB 1569.
12/1/22 - SACOT + Donna Howard
SACOT members met representative Donna Howard at the capitol with the objective to talk about new upcoming bills and future visions that she hopes to represent.
11/17/21 - First In-Person 2468 Gives Back Session since March 2020
In order to better engage with neighboring communities and inspire future STEM leaders, SACOT regularly shares STEM-related activities with young kids at a daycare (Club Z).
3/27/21 - 4th Annual Conference - SACOT LAW: Debrief
After meeting with numerous legislatures, SACOT members got the opportunity to network with Representative Gonzales and Ms. Ashmore. Additionally, SACOT members got the chance to talk about how their meetings went and how to further the progress of HB 244.
2/27/21 -4th Annual Conference - SACOT LAW: Training
SACOT members from across Texas came together to discuss HB 244. HB 244 is a bill that would provide grants to increase STEM funding for teachers across the state.

12/6/18 - 3rd Annual Conference - SACOT on the Hill!
3/27/17 - First Campaign Released
SACOT’s first campaign is released, promoting HB 368. HB 368 will make it legal for people who turn 18 by the time of the actual election to vote in the primary, even if they are 17 at the time of the primary.
3/17/17 - SACOT Reaches 500 Members
SACOT reaches a major milestone—we are halfway to our first goal of 1,000 members!
2/5/17 - Introduction of New Executive Committee Members
SACOT begins to integrate Executive Committee members from all over Texas for greater representation of high school students.
1/24/17 - FIRST in Texas Sponsorship
SACOT partners with FIRST in Texas with the support of Ray Almgren. SACOT begins to have booths at FIRST competitions to increase membership.
1/21/17 - January Conference
SACOT's inaugural Annual Conference included keynote speakers Ray Almgren, Representative Paul Workman, and Representative Cecil Bell. We were honored to have Michael Blair, Representative Donna Howard, Caroline Joiner, and Tom Leonard on our panel.
1/14/17 - Established SACOT Platform
The first SACOT platform involves three major parts: Legislative Agenda, School Board Initiative, and Corporate Connection Program. During this Texas Legislative session, SACOT supported HB 395, spread the word about UIL and FIRST Robotics, and maintained relationships with legislators.
